Everything under control in the driver's cab

The WM Shira is a guarantee of outstanding comfort for the driver and boasts a full, unobstructed view whether you're driving cabin-free or with all-around glass. A step board provides easy entry to the vehicle, where all important information is clearly visible at a glance on the high-definition color touch display, and all the main functions are keyboard-controlled. Simply press the A/M button, and the automatic mode begins all work operations in a pre-defined order.



Water System Highlights

Need more than 528 USG (2,000 liters) of water?   No problem!

When you're building up ice depth or using the water sprayer, more water is a must. The WM Shira has it all taken care of! The water and snow tanks can easily be connected into one water tank with a total volume of around 528 USG (2,000 liters) of water. No more standing in cold water and tiresome tugging on hoses: All operations can be carried out from the comfort of the driver's cab - there's more than enough water to do the job.

Shira Battery Technology

Lithium-Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4)

  • Lifetime: at least 3-4 times as many charge cycles as lead batteries

  • Weight: weight reduced by 75% compared to lead batteries

  • Efficiency: only 1-2 kWh per ice resurfacing

  • Performance: high discharge power and extremely high peak power

  • Charging time: extremely fast charging with a fast charging terminal (80 % in 60 minutes)

  • Maintenance: maintenance free

  • Energy density: high energy density - one small battery is sufficient

  • Temperature range: -45 °C to 85 °C(recommended: -25 °C to 55 °C)

  • Fast payback: due to less maintenance, high efficiency in consumption, longevity

  • Cost/benefit: cost-intensive purchase/long lifetime

  • Security: Due to their cell chemistry, LiFePO4 cells are considered to be intrinsically safe as they eliminate the risk of thermal runaway and membrane melting which can occur in other lithium-ion accumulators. Operator safety is enhanced as no toxic gases are emitted while charging.
